Six national Oscar submissions for Film i Väst’s co-productions

Six European countries have chosen Film i Väst’s co-productions as official submissions for the Oscar Foreign Language race. Among them Ruben Östlund’s Palme d’Or-winner The Square. All films are either shot or post-produced in Västra Götaland region. Oscar nominations will be announced January 23.

The six co-productions are:

SwedenThe Square – Ruben Östlund (shot in Göteborg)

DenmarkYou Disappear – Peter Schönaug Fog (shot in Trollhättan)

FinlandTom Of Finland – Dome Karukoski (shot in Göteborg)

NorwayThelma – Joachim Trier (shot in Trollhättan)

PolandSpoor – Agnieszka Holland (postproduced in Västra Götaland)

ItalyA Ciambra – Jonas Carpignano (postproduced in Västra Götaland)
